A legal setback for a Peorian, convicted in December 2009 of attempted murder and sentenced to
95 years in prison. Dominic Eppinger, 24, won a legal victory when the 3rd Appellate Court ruled last yyear Eppinger should have been present when jurors were picked to hear his trial and therefore
deserved a new trial. However, in a 5 to 2 ruling issued Friday on the Illinois Supreme Court website,
the high court reversed the appellate court, claiming the judge wasn't obligated to have Eppinger there after he waive his right to be present.
