Maui Jim's Hosts 12th Annual Dive For Cover Event

PEORIA-- Maui Jim Hosts 12th Annual "Dive For Cover" To Benefit South Side Mission
Temperatures may be below freezing but it's not stopping participants from jumping in freezing waters to benefit the South Side Mission.
The event, now in its 12th year, benefits the many families that are homeless living at the South Side Mission.
"We have about 45 families living with us" says SSM's Executive Director Phil Newton. He says the goal is to get the homeless in independent living

Last year, Maui Jim raised more than 70-thousand dollars for SSM.
This year they hope to raise more than that.
Donations will also come from a silent auction where items were donated from famous stars like Willie Nelson and Kieth Urban.
