SSHE Meet Our Contestants: Maria Diaz

Maria Diaz started her weight loss journey more than a year ago. She was able to lose 80 pounds on her own. But since joining the Seattle Sutton Tri-County Slim Down contest, Maria is seeing food in a whole new light.
She works as a health advocate within the Hispanic community in Peoria and says she will share what she is learning through this contest with others who are hoping to change their lives.
Maria is also an avid runner. Her big goal this year is to take part in the Peoria Marathon this spring.
