East Peoria Proposing Recreational Trail for New Levee District

EAST PEORIA - East Peoria is
discussing the possible construction of a hiking and biking trail in the city's
new Levee District.
The East Peoria Planning and
Development Director Ty Livingston said the proposed trail would run along the
south side of West Camp Street, starting at Main Street and ending behind the
Camp Street Crossing complex.
The trail would be a three mile loop
and the goal is to help the area be more pedestrian friendly.
The city said it needs to apply for
more funding before the project can move forward.
