Cellphone Bill Passes Illinois House Committee

A bill to ban drivers from using hand held cellphones in Illinois passed the Illinois House
Transportation Committee Wednesday, according to the Illinois General Assembly website.
Illinois already bans texting while driving and several communities restrict hand held devices
while driving. The bill now moves to a second reading in the Illinois House and further debate.
