Flu Season Isn't Over

PEORIA- Doctors say flu season isn't quite over yet.

Doctor Philip Fifield at OSF's Glen Park Center for Health" said he's still seeing influenza cases. He said this could continue for a few more weeks, and there is still time for that flu shot.

Fifield said upper respiratory sicknesses like the cold are also common this time of year, but that doesn't mean you should ignore new symptoms.

"A fever that's new or feeling short of breath or having chest discomfort then that would be something we would recommend seeking attention from their primary care physician," Fifield said.

If you're that sick, he said to stay in bed and out of the office.
