Peoria Library Board Names New Director

Leann Johnson, who had been serving as interim director of the Peoria Public Library, was named
the new director Tuesday evening. Johnson has been with the library for 28 years, serving as Interim Director three times and spending 17 years as Assistant Director. Johnson takes over for Ed Synaka who departed in December. The library recently completed a $28 million building project.
