Physician Licensing Fee Bill Okayed by Illinois Senate

A bill to raise physicians' licensing fees to help the state rehire staff that licenses and investigates doctors passed the Illinois Senate Thursday and is now had its first reading in the Illinois House.
Doctors currently pay three hundred dollars for a three year permit but under the new bill the fee
would jump to 700 dollars. The proposed fee hike would continue through June 2018 and then drop
to 500 dollars.
