NORMAL- The upcoming holiday holds special meaning for a couple who's been married nearly six decades.
Roy and Alice Giles met in their 20's under stressful circumstances.
He had appendicitis, she was his nurse.
The pair fell in love, married, and the rest is history.
But about six years ago doctors diagnosed Alice with Parkinson's disease.
Now, the nurse who cared for her husband through the years is being looked after by him.
Roy visits her everyday at Heritage Health Nursing Home each day .
"I have that much love to see her every day," said Giles. "I never missed a day except two days and those were snow days."
The couple now in their eighties, plans to celebrate valentine's day with family tomorrow.
Roy says he bought Alice a special card to show his love for her.
