PEORIA- Bradley University's Greek row might be a little quieter this month, student affairs has banned all parties in on-campus fraternity houses.
Nathan Thomas from student affairs said this the ban will be in place until the Interfraternity Council comes up with new safety policies. Those new policies are being drafted now, and are to include member re-education on safe partying.
Thomas said this is more of a preventative measure than anything else.
"There's no one incident that is driving this decision it's been several incidents over the course of time and really it more of a safety concern than it is a response to a single incident," Thomas said.
Thomas said fraternity parties will only be banned for the next few weeks, and that their primary goal is to keep students on campus safe.
