Husband Charged with Peoria's 1st Homicide of 2013

A Peoria husband was formally charged Monday just hours after police say he fatally shot
his wife in the city's first homicide of 2013. 30 year old Matthew Malcolm was charged with
one count of murder and a judge Monday afternoon set bond at two million dollars.
Police claim Malcolm shot his wife, Heather in the head just before midnight in the 700 block
of East Nebraska. She was pronounced dead early Monday morning.
