PEORIA - The Peoria Housing Authority is looking to buy more surveillance for its communities.

According to Peoria Police Chief Steve Settingsgaard, PHA has contacted his department about obtaining an armadillo surveillance truck for PHA communities only.

Peoria Police own two of the vehicles and say they are looking to purchase a third.

The vehicle would be owned by police, but the housing authority would pay to upgrade and operate the vehicle. Police officers would operate it.

Settingsaard says Brinks Inc. security will sell the department a truck for $10.

Comments

No local truck available, it might take a while to get one here.
