Local Group Trying to Save Madison Theatre

PEORIA - A new local group is trying to save a historic Peoria landmark.
It's called Battle for the Madison. The group is raising money and hoping to restore the old Madison Theatre.
A rally is planned for Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Madison Theatre.
The group estimates it will take $10.5 million to restore the shuttered venue. It has been closed since 2003.
