Knox County Car Accident Leaves Man Dead, Wife Injured

GILSON - A car
accident Saturday night leaves a Williamsfield man dead and his wife injured.
The
accident happened around 7:30 p.m. near Gilson, in the 900 block of Illinois
Route 97.
The Knox
County Sheriff's Office said the victim is 71-year-old Sammy G. Marksity.
His wife,
Karen Marksity, was flown to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
No word on
her condition at this time.
The
accident remains under investigation.
