High Speed Chase Lands Chicago Man in Jail, Injures Officer

LIVINGSTON COUNTY- A highway pursuit on Interstate 55 sends one officer to the hospital and another man to jail.
The incident began at mile marker 196 just after 11:30 Friday night.
An officer with the Livingston County Proactive Unit pulled over a driver regarding a light on his van.
Upon questioning the man fled the scene.
The officer tried to stop him but got hurt.
Multiple agencies assisted in the chase which ended at Bloomington's Evergreen Memorial Cemetery around one Saturday morning.
Authorities arrested 30 year old Andrew White of Chicago.
He's charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, aggravated fleeing, and aggravated reckless driving.
White is being held in the Livingston County Jail.
Bond has been set at $100,000 dollars.
The injured officer is expected to be okay.
