PEORIA - A group of
students is modeling to fight heart disease.
Thursday night the color
red took over the runway at Scottish Rite Cathedral.
Cosmetology students at
Tricoci University joined the American Heart Association for "A Red Dress
Fashion Show."
Everything from the
models to the make-up was done by students.
The school's general
manager says heart disease is something all women should know about.
That's why they're
using fashion - something most women are familiar - to spread the word.
"It's the number
one way to give back and give back, so we can make that number go down. We
don't want it to be the number one killer. So it's something I think could be
very, easily prevented," said Holly Busher, Tricoci University general manager.
Proceeds from tonight's show will go to the American Heart Association and heart disease research.
