Peoria Jail Inmate Pleads NOT GUILTY to Threat Charge

PEORIA- A Peoria County jail inmate, already in jail charged with aggravated battery to police,is now
facing another serious charge. 41 year old Tony Purnell pleaded NOT GUILTY Thursday to an
indictment charging him with threatening a public official. Court records indicate Purnell allegedly
threatened Judge Kouri on January 21st. Purnell will be back in court on both cases March 1st.
