At first some were shocked but soon learned it's part of the 2013 Great Central U.S. Shake-Out Drill.
The great shake out is an earthquake drill to remind people to
"drop","cover" and "hold on" during the actual event of an earthquake.
Health Department Officials say practicing earthquake drills is important because Central Illinois is part of an earthquake zone.
