One of two emergeny spending bills, passed by the Illinois House Tuesday, is moving its way
through the Illinois Senate. House Bill 190 passed its second reading Wednesday in the Illinois
Senate and is set for a final vote February 13th. Supporters say the spending will focus on jobs
in highway construction projects and money for the state's Children and Family Services to hire
child abuse investigators and beef up mental health programs.
