State Rep. Will Davis from the Chicago area wants a tax of .25$ to be charged to purchases of athletic shoes.
The tax money will benefit a youth job preparation program called YouthBuild, which helps low income youth find jobs when they're old enough.
Running Central shoe store owner Adam White says the money would go to a good cause, if it we're to affect local communities, but is afraid that the Illinois Government won't manage the money the right way.
