Pekin Man Pleads Guilty in Beating-Burglary of 85 Year old

A Pekin man, charged with beating an 85 year old Creve Coeur man last year
and stealing his military combat medals, pleaded guilty Friday. 19 year old Charles Cheney
pleaded guilty to residential burglary and aggravated battery. He and 25 year old Brandy Teague
of Creve Coeur were each charged. Cheney will be sentenced March 22nd. Teague, whose only
charged with residential burglary, is back in court February 8th. The 85 year old victim
reportedly suffered a concussion and a broken nose.
