New ALDI Open in Peoria

PEORIA -- There's a new place to do your grocery shopping in Peoria. ALDI opened on University Friday morning.
This store replaced the locations at 3116 North Sterling Avenue and 603 East War Memorial Drive. Employees at those stores were hired at the university store or other area locations.
"It's very important for us that we choose locations that are easy for our customers to get in and out. The light was here. There's a lot of traffic on University, so it was a perfect location for us," said Heather Moore, ALDI Vice President.
The newest location will be open from 9 a.m. To 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. To 7 p.m. on Sunday.
