Pekin Man Indicted on Infant Battery Charge

A Pekin man was indicted Thursday for allegedly causing injuries to his infant
daughter. 19 year old Gabriel Franco is facing one count of aggravated battery to a child, causing
permanent disability. Prosecutors claim Franco caused great bodily harm while burping his
daughter last year, breaking her legs. Franco, who has maintained his innocence, will be in
court to answer the indictment February 7th.
