PEORIA - A new car sharing program is helping Bradley students get the things they need off campus.

It's called Zip Car and it's a company that acts as a rental car service to college students.

Students can buy an annual membership for $25 and then pay about $8 an hour when they want to check out a car.

Bradley University Freshman Kevin Lofgran said having access to a car will make his life easier. He said, "I will get to escape. Actually get to go places and do things, there's a lot more that I can do off campus then on campus sometimes."

Zip Car said the program has been very successful. The program is available at more than 300 other universities.
