PEORIA -- A big congratulations to Peoria's Washington Gifted eighth grader Liam Raulerson.  He became the school's spelling bee champion Thursday.

Liam was one of 24 students competing in the spelling bee.  He won the competition by correctly spelling the word dormition.  Liam will now move on to the District 150 Spelling Bee. It was a tough fight to the end.  The spelling bee went 21 rounds.   WMBD 31's Lisa Miller was the spelling bee pronouncer, while WMBD 31's Maria Chandler was a judge.
