PEORIA- About 60 Peorians volunteered to be extras in a commercial for Focus Forward CI, which is part of a larger program focusing on developing more sustainable communities that strengthen the economy.
The extras, set and camera crew are all volunteers or donations, making it a zero cost production. Organizers say it's a big help in terms of their overall mission.
"By 2018 we have a number of smart goals that we've identified. Included in those smart goals are increasing the population in the region. Increasing the education of the population in the region, increasing the workforce and also the salaries of that workforce," said Karen McDonald from Focus Forward CI.
This commercial will debut at the Connect! Milestone event set for February 7th at the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
It will be featured on the Focus Forward CI website and YouTube channel.
