Fire Leaves Normal Family Homeless

NORMAL- A family in Normal is now homeless after a fire destroyed their home Thursday morning.
The Normal Fire Department responded to the call to the house on Payne Place just after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Neighbors called 911 after reporting seeing flames coming from the rear of the residence and heavy smoke. The fire was so bad that a second alarm was called, calling in off duty fire fighters as well as a team from the Bloomington Fire Department.
No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported, the normal fire department is investigating what caused the fire.
