A Gallup poll released Thursday says President Obama's fourth year in office is tied as most
polarized. 86 percent of Democrats and 10 percent of Republicans approve of his job. That
76 perecent point gap ties President George W. Bush's fourth year as the most polarized in
Gallup records. The average party gap in ratings of President Obama during the four years
is 70 percentage points. If that average holds, it would surpass Bush's record 61 point
average polarization during his eight year presidency by a considerable margin.
