Hometown Heroes: Senior Airman James Atkins

After two years of
college, Senior Airman James R. Atkins enlisted in the United States Air Force.
James serves as an
interface control technician who processes crucial weapon and surveillance
data, and sends the information to pilots.
His four years of
service have taken him to Iraq, Italy, and the United Arab Emirites.
He's is now stationed
at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.
James has received multiple
awards for his service, including an Air Force Achievement Award.
When he's not working,
James is a trained chef who likes to brew his own beer.
He also loves to play
music and hang out with his English bull dog Rocco.
