BLOOMINGTON- A 16-year-old boy is shot to death in Bloomington.

Police say Kuantrae "Trae" Massey was shot at Danbury Court Apartments just before 3:00 p.m. on the city's southwest side.

Authorities say the teen was near his home.
Relatives took Massey to Bloomington's OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Now, police are looking for suspects

Neighbors who live in the apartment complex are in shock a shooting happened this close to home.

"I didn't think it was a bad place to live. We haven't had any problems before until this. It's just crazy to think that somebody got shot like three doors down from where you live," says Kyndra Petersen who lives at Danbury.

The teen was from southwest Bloomington.

He was a Unit 5 student, currently attending the Regional Alternative School in Bloomington.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 309-434-2475
