Area's Top CEOs Form New Council

PEORIA -- Fifty of the area's top business leaders are forming a new partnership called the CEO Council.
The new group is a
branch of the restructured Heartland Partnership.
Leader Cal McKay said
the main goal is to improve economic development in the area. He said the group
already has more than 20 different projects in the works. "That's probably one
of their first and foremost goals, is take on big projects, be visionary for
the region and be the business force behind getting things accomplished."
One project that's at
the top of the to do list - revitalizing Peoria's downtown.
