Bass Pro Offers Up Boating Tips, Discounts, Prizes

EAST PEORIA- Saturday's temperatures were warmer than usual, but they were maybe still a little too cold for boaters to hit the water.
That didn't stop hundreds of boat enthusiasts from dreaming of warm lazy days on the river front. They made their way down to Bass Pro Shops this afternoon to check out its 'Great American Boat Show.'
The free event was packed with boating and fishing seminars, as well as a chance for people to get try out new equipment for the upcoming season.
Fishing buffs lined up for a chance to chat with seven-time BASS winner Edwin Evers, and some people just came to check out the big merchandise.
"Families have a lot of fun here and I think we see some every weekend climbing on the boats. Lots of fun you can pretend the breeze is in your hair," said store employee, Bonnie Cannon.
And the fun continues all the way through Sunday January 27th. There will be discounts all week long and giveaways on January 20th and 27th.
Bass Pro Shops is giving away a Kayak and gift cards worth $200.
