Peoria Business and Charity Partnering To Provide Healthy Options

Bosch
Garden and Watering is donating $5,000 to the Gifts in the Moment Foundation.
The
foundation works on promoting health and well being by putting community
gardens throughout Peoria.
Its
co-founder said the sponsorship from Bosch will help create a new garden and
help the foundation continue its mission.
Co-Founder Kim Keenan
said, "If we can give in a way that allows them to not only have food but to
have healthy food, alternatives, that's accessible, that's convenient, that
they know how to prepare and that they can actually contribute to the
neighborhood themselves into sustainability than we're doing a good job. "
The foundation is still
finalizing plans for the new garden. She said it's deciding between a location
on the East Bluff or South Side.
