Tax incentives for Wirtz Beverage Illinois received approval Tuesday by the McLean County Board.
Board members voted for a plan calling for a five year freeze on property taxes for a west side Bloomington facility Wirtz is looking at for its headquarters. The company says the move would
create 120 jobs. Bloomington and Normal councils and Unit 5 School Board have already
agreed to the plan. The City of Bloomington Township Board will be the last government body
to consider the package January 28th.
