A Peoria judge ruled Monday a local murder trial will not move out of the county at this time.
In a single paper order, Judge Steve Kouri denied a motion to move the trial of Sergio Herron.
Herron is one of two men charged with the May 31st killing of Kelin Drummond, whose body was found in a car in the 700 block of Latrobe, shot multiple times. Although the judge ruled against
moving the trial at this point, he continued Herron's trial until April. Herron's co defendant, Robert
Nunn, Junior is awaiting sentencing at the end of the month for this crime. Herron's lawyer
argued Herron may not get a fair trial because of all the pre trial publicity.
