Average retail gas prices in Peoria have risen one cent per gallon in the past week, according to a
new study issued Monday. GasBuddy.com says prices were 19.6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago but .8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. GasBuddy Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick
DeHaan says it appears prices between Christmas and mid January will change little, which has
only happened once out of the last seven years. Gas inventories have rebounded sharply in the
past several weeks, a major factor, DeHaan says behind the relatively stable gas prices.
