BLOOMINGTON- United States Representative Adam Kinzinger was back in his old stomping grounds Sunday night.
Kinzinger was the keynote speaker for the McLean County Civil Air Patrol's annual banquet.
The patrol honored seventeen young members between twelve and eight.
Each member was getting an award and promotion from the CAP and Bloomington VFW.
Kinzinger himself served the organization for six years when he was a teenager.
The Representative said, "This is a group that I have been involved with since I was twelve years old. To be able to come back, I don;t really feel like a Congressman today. I just feel like I'm coming back home and talking to some folks - hoping that they get even just a fraction out of the Civil Air Patrol that I got."
The McLean County CAP has been around for more than thirty years.
