PEORIA- On Saturday people all over Peoria took advantage of the warmer than usual weather.

Do-it-yourself car washes were busy with people vacuuming and polishing their vehicles. Dog owners are walking their four-legged friends, and children ran around frost free playgrounds.

The Peoria Zoo saw a few more visitors too.

"It's a nice day and figured I'd take the kids out and get some fresh air. Been cooped up all winter," said Zach Caudle, who was looking into the tiger enclosure at the zoo.

"It's, you know, mid-January and it's still so nice and mild out we thought we'd come out for a while today," said Jeff Heckman, dog leash in hand.

"I'm a fanatic on clean vehicles, and why not, it's not too cold," said Timothy Kline while at the car wash.

As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Snow was in the forecast for later the same day.
