A Peoria man, accused of severely injuring his four month old son, who later, died pleaded
NOT GUILTY Thursday after being indicted this week.
21 year old Isaac Simmons is facing one count of aggravated battery and one count of aggravated domestic battery. Police say Simmons took the boy to the hospital in December and doctors say they found signs of retinal hemorrhaging, a sign of shaken baby syndrome. Authorities claim Simmons claimed he bounced the boy to calm him down but denied hurting the child. Simmons will be back in court Feb. 22nd.
