PEORIA - A Peoria business is making repairs after a blast at ADM blew out some of its windows.
Plaza Tire on SW Washington St. is next to the ADM plant. Several of its windows broke during an explosion at the plant early Wednesday morning. The blast could be heard for miles. Now Plaza Tire is dealing with the aftermath.
"Some of our big windows back there... you can open them up a little bit," said Plaza Tire owner Carl Fifiele. "It takes a bunch of pressure to pull them open because they are kind of rusty and old."
No one was injured in the explosion. It did an estimated $1 million in damage.
The ADM plant is closed indefinitely.
