PEORIA HEIGHTS - A
heights boutique will soon close its doors and take a little bit of
"sass" from the community.
For ten years, 'Sassy Lady'
has brought a lot of flair to women's wardrobes. But soon that is coming to an
end.
The Peoria Heights
boutique will close at the end of the month.
Three women own the
store, but each of them run other businesses and say they'd like to retire.
The shop caters to
women 30 years and up and helps ladies find their own style and boost their
self esteem. The store owners say it's time to move on, but they'll miss the
people.
"Sometimes women come
in and they don't always feel the best about themselves. You know, something's
wrong. My body's not quite right or whatever it is. I loved helping them out
and really makings them feel good and they walk out -- feeling sassy,"
said owner Pat Drake.
The owners hope someone
will buy the business before it closes on January 31st.
