East Peoria Downtown Named 'The Levee District'

EAST PEORIA - East Peoria's new downtown now has a name.
It's being called "The Levee District." The city held a contest to pick the new development's name. "The Levee District" was selected from 264 submissions.
The new development is under construction. It includes Costco, the soon to open Target store, and a mix of other retailers.
It also includes a bank, hotel, library and civic plaza.
