A former employee of Jimmy John's in Galesburg was charged Friday with armed robbery for a Thursday holdup at the restaurant, according to WGIL Radio. 29 year old Nathaniel McPherrin was also charged with aggravated robbery and theft. During a Friday hearing, McPherrin is accused of displaying a semi automatic gun and demanding money from a male employee. A CrimeStoppers tip is believed to have led to McPherrin's arrest. Knox County State's Attorney John Pepmeyer says McPherrin admitted to committing the crime to investigators, according to WGIL Radio. McPherrin's bond was set at a half million dollars. He'll be back in court Monday.
