Construction on University in Peoria

Beginning 8am, Tuesday, January 8th, both southbound lanes on University in Peoria will be CLOSED south of Merle Lane because of utility connections for the new Aldi's grocery store. Southbound traffic will merge into one lane using the center turn lane for through traffic. No left turns will be allowed in the construction zone. Northbound traffic on University will not be allowed to turn left into the WalMart parking area and will need to continue north until Meadowbrook Road. Turn left on Meadowbrook Road and again turn left onto Dries Lane. Turn left when you get to the back entrance of WalMart. Work is anticipated to be complete in several days and all lanes of traffic will be open on Friday, January 11th.
