BLOOMINGTON- A large alcohol distribution warehouse is getting more support from local leaders.
Last month WMBD-31 introduced viewers to Wirtz Beverage Group, a national beer and wine distributor that's considering building a facility on land behind the Wal-Mart on Wylie Drive.
The company would create about 120 jobs, but wants a five year freeze on the property tax rate.
Wednesday, the McLean County Finance Committee agreed to that.
It heads to the county board for final approval January 15th.
The city of Bloomington has also agreed to the tax abatement plan.
