A former Metamora policeman was sentenced Wednesday to 60 days in jail after pleading guilty to official misconduct and theft, according to the Woodford County State's Attorney Greg Minger. Dwyane Walters was accused of stealing gasoline from the village supply for his personal use. Police say Walters confessed to taking the fuel while on duty using plastic containers. Besides the jail time, which began Wednesday, Walters is on 30 months of a form of probation and must perform one hundred fifty hours of public service.
