Peorian Sentenced for Boyfriend's Homicide

A Peoria woman has been sentenced to 32 years in prison, according to court officials, for the stabbing death of her boyfriend. Police say Chevon Dixon used a kitchen knife to repeatedly stab 50 year old Ricky Rutherford Senior to death reportedly over an argument over pictures found on a cellphone. The coroner says Rutherford was stabbed 30 times in the 1100 block of Martin Luther King Junior Drive.
