PEORIA - A stand out on Bradley University's basketball team was arrested late Monday night.

The Peoria County Sheriff's Department says 23 year old Will Egolf is being held in the Peoria County Jail on a charge of posession of a controlled substance.

Egolf is set to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.

The starting center leads the team in three-point shooting and is also a key rebounder for the Braves.

In a statement released earlier today, Bradley men's basketball coach Geno Ford said "We are still in the process of gathering all of the information related to Will's situation. Once we have our arms around all of the facts, we will take the appropriate actions."

Egolf will not travel with the team to Carbondale as the Braves prepare to take on the Southern Illinois University Salukis Wednesday night.
