Some football fans found a fun way to spend the first day of the New Year. Buffalo Wild Wings by Peoria's Shoppes at Grand Prairie was packed with people cheering on their favorite teams. These people came out to watch the Outback Bowl, where Michigan took on the South Carolina Gamecocks. They say watching football is a perfect New Years day activity.

Michigan fan Edwin Chan says, "I'm from Michigan, which is a Big 10 school, the Big 10 plays a lot of their games on New Years Day, so I can't think of a better way to start the new year."

South Carolina fan Cassie Frow says, "My whole family are Gamecock fans now since I go there, so we're all in the spirit and cheering on South Carolina."

The South Carolina fans walked away victorious, the Gamecocks won by a score of 33 to 28.
