Supreme Court Approves Cameras in McLean County Courtrooms

BLOOMINGTON - The Illinois Supreme Court ruled today that television
news cameras and microphones will now be allowed in McLean County trial
courtrooms. The pilot program allows television, radio, and still
photographers access to cover cases. McLean County is the first central
IL county and the 24th in the state to participate in the project.
There are on-going talks to bring cameras to Peoria County courtrooms as
well.
